October has become synonymous with Halloween. Once 10/01 hits, pumpkins and ghostly arrangements are already placed outside homes, dorm rooms and even grocery stores. Savvy Student understands the excitement and rising anticipation for this wildly fun holiday, as well as the desire to escape some of the decorative skeletons and spiders for a while. Here's a few fun October festivities for everyone, whether you're in the Halloween spirit or just want to get out and enjoy the crisp autumn air!

Many of the tents and excitement are generally located near Harvard, where there are at least 3 bridges within walking distance of each other with great viewing points of the races. Brandeis Crew will have at least one men's boat rowing that day, so be sure to show your Brandeis pride while you're there!
These are just a few of the exciting upcoming events happening in October. Check out sites like boston.com, or just search the internet for local apple orchards (and their prices!) to satisfy those Fall cravings.
Happy October,
Savvy Student
